Back in Business

Hi all,

It’s Cameron - the founder of Bark + Shout.

I am happy to announce that, after a turbulent 2 years, I am finally able to pursue my passion for product design and manufacturing through Bark + Shout once more!

What happened?

Well.. a lot changed. If you've ever experienced any of the following, you know how all-consuming it can be:

- Moving House
- Moving a Business Premises
- Selling a House
- Ending of a Long term Relationship
- Losing a Pet
- Experiencing Financial Struggle

In early 2024, all of the above, and more all happened within the space of 2 months.

After a few months of pushing along with B+S, I realised that an inflection point was coming. I made a last ditch effort to release a new product (the AirTag Harness) - in hopes this would reignite my passion and solve the financial pressure both I and the business was facing. 

The release was rushed, the product didn't "feel" all that Bark + Shout, and the landslide success that was needed to turn things around? It never came.

The writing was on the wall.

In February 2025, I made the difficult decision to take a step back and close B+S with plans to sell everything and to find another job.


So what changed?

My focus shifted elsewhere.

I invested time in my career through a job working as a Digital Marketing Manager and gradually rebuilt stability in my life.

I invested time with my girlfriend who was my biggest supporter during the difficult times, and we got married in June 2026!

I invested time in my faith / walk with Christ which played a large part in my life changing and now I have a peace beyond understanding.

Gradually, life took a new shape and my priorities changed.

But some things remained.

I was still fascinated by manufacturing, product design and making things with my hands. And the plan to sell never quite came into reality. I kept a hold of the machines and the materials - I moved them from place to place with me and eventually... I switched on the sewing machine again.

I hadn’t quite given up on the harness and so, after 2 years, I started playing around with new designs and ideas. The love I had for product design had returned and I had sparks of inspiration once again.

So that brings us to today.

What's next?

I have been working on a lot of exciting new projects, but for now, it’s all about restocking the most popular and much requested favourites from the past.

On Friday 30th October, i’ll be restocking AirTag Collars + Adjustable Leads including Fidlock buckle variants.

All products will be pre-made and ready to ship next day!
So keep an eye out if you have been waiting.
